i have the same issue. It is a name that is used in both western and muslim culture, though not very popular in muslims. I have read somewhere that it means rose in arabic and beautiful in many other languages. May muslim websites have this name published in their list too. But im convinced that it is not wrong to give this name to a muslim girl. Try writing to islamqa.com and ask their opinion. i have been trying to get some solid evidence too. Nabeela means 'Noble', 'beautiful'. u should keep this name completely, because if u divide the name then the name will become meaningless. and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and by your fathers' names, so give yourselves good names." hw does one perform aqeeqah correctly in the uk???? ie the meat is to be distributed in three parts.... the third part to the poor..... who is regarded as poor in the uk and how is one to ditribute it to them???? secondly..... does the aqeeqah have to performed where the child is?? ie... can we send money to another country for relative to perform the sacrfice of the animal and distributing the meat acoording and perform the rest of the aqeeqah in another country ie shaving of the head naming the child etc..... then the equivelant of shaved hair in wieght b converted to money and sent abroad to the poor????
